Media Fellowship House’s 2005 Essay Contest

When students in Delaware County were given the opportunity to take part in Media Fellowship House’s essay contest and write about “How Diversity Effects our Lives” more than 100 of them, grades three through eight wrote from their hearts.  The essays were so good the judges had a difficult time picking the winners, and in fact awarded Savings Bonds to two third graders because they could not make a decision as to which was the “best.”  The young essayists recently read their works for the entire fellowship house board and were awarded their bonds at that time.  Pictured are Claire McGeehan, Contest Chair, Kelsey Lucero, third grade, Walnut Street School, Jacob Phillips, fourth grade, Media Providence Friends School, Kate Gaffney, seventh grade, Springton Lake Middle School, Rachel Davis, eighth grade, Springton Lake Middle School, Thomas Crowding, third grade, Media Elementary School, Robin Otto, Board President, Media Fellowship House Not Present, Robyn Himmelstein, fifth grade, Media Providence Friends School
